27th General Assembly of National Olympic Committees

The municipality of Cascais hosted the 27th General Assembly of the Association of National Olympic Committees (ANOC). The Estoril Congress Center welcomed an event that brought together 204 National Olympic Committees from around the world, with the presence of over 800 delegates.
During the event, the award for Best Portuguese Athlete competing in Paris 2024 was presented to cyclist Iúri Leitão, who won a gold medal (track cycling, Madison discipline) and a silver medal (track cycling, Omnium discipline) in the world's largest sporting competition.
